  • One of the most popular choices among homeowners nowadays is light-coloured bathroom tiles. It can either be white or off-white and other light-coloured ones that are intended to make the room look bigger. When choosing grout colours, it should not be in total opposite of the colour of the tile.
  • Do not just focus on the look of the bathroom tile but also the feel of the texture. If you are planning to out a shower bench inside the bathroom then it is recommended to choose larger sizes of tiles compared to smaller ones which are not so good to the touch. Make sure that your shower is also safe by adding grab bars.
  • If you are looking to try something new, diagonal bathroom tiles are also trendy these days. This is ideal for bathrooms with very small spaces therefore making the room look bigger. If you are planning to replace your old bathroom tiles, ask a professional as there may be a way to do it without tearing the flooring out.
  • For large bathroom tiles, make sure that the grout joint is notsmaller than 3/16 inch in width. Check the mortar contact at the bottom of the tiles because it should be a minimum of 90 per cent to avoid cracking in the future.
  • It might be nice to have a mosaic bathroom tile but it can also be a nuisance since it requires more grout lines. To remedy this, grout tinted should be used which should be similar to the colour of the tile you chose.
  • For unique tile pattern, remember to choose a maximum of only three tiles that have same colour scheme. For instance, if you want to go with grey bathroom tiles then choose three different grey tiles that will complete the pattern.
