Rollins’ New Deal Reunites Brothers’ Companies

The company that owns Orkin has recently acquired a California-based pest control company. Rollins Inc., a major company known for owning a fair number of extermination businesses, like, recently reported a new acquisition, with one of its subsidiary companies making the acquisition. This new acquisition is slightly different than usual, as it reunites companies founded by brothers.

Clark Pest Control, Inc., based in Bakersfield, California, is reuniting with Clark Pest Control of Stockton Inc. The companies were founded by brothers Jim Sr. and Charlie Clark, way back in the 40s. The two decided to work on separate businesses, splitting up; with Charlie going to Stockton, while Jim Sr. went to Bakersfield in the South. For a while, they shared the Clark Pest Control name, and their respective businesses developed in that time.

In the second quarter of 2019, Rollins (NYSE: ROL), acquired Charlie Clark’s business; Clark Pest Control of Stockton Inc. The subsidiary that was created by that deal is now acquiring Clark Pest Control Inc., which is Jim Clark Sr.’s business. The company has more than 160 employees spread out in Bakersfield, Fresno, Visalia, Lancaster, and Santa Clarita.

Clark Pest Control of Stockton Inc. President Robert Baker stated that they’ve long dreamed of bringing the Clark Pest Control companies back together after all these years, in honor of the two brothers that founded both companies. He says that they’re happy being one company again, as it lets them move forward in a great position to serve their markets, California and Nevada, with their high quality pest management and associated services.

Rollins owns several pest control companies, not unlike, including HomeTeam Pest Defense, Orkin, Clark Pest Control, Orking Canada, Critter Control, Western Pest Services, Northwest Exterminating, Orkin Australia, Waltham Services, The Industrial Fumigant Company, OPC Pest Services, Rollins UK, Aardwolf Pestkare, and Crane Pest Control, covering different specializations and the like throughout the pest control field.

Rollins overall has around 2 million customers spread across the world; in North America, South America, Central America, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Mexico, and Australia, making it a major operator across the world.
